PCI express to sata II host controller?
So I turn on my desktop everything goes fine until the screen flashes these messages "PCI express to sata host controller" then underneath that it says "Detecting drivers done: no drivers" can anyone tell me what's wrong is the hard drive not connected to the host adapter? or maybe one of my GPUs aren't connected to the host adapter. Can someone please help me?
my specs are: Motherboard : ASUS eveo 870 DD3 usb 3.0
GPU: crossfire enabled ATI radeon HD 5770 x 2
AMD Phenom II x 6 109T (3.2 Ghz)
8 gigs of ram
1.5 terabyte hard drive.
700 watt power supply.
The computer is very new like 2 days old new...So I'm going to go with your assumption that the plug for the SATA drive is loose. also thank you so much. I had a inclining that something was loose. because it was working perfectly until all of a sudden.
OK, we need more details. If this is a new build, it sounds like your motherboard and / or hard drive is dead. Or, more likely . . . the SATA cables have worked loose from the back of the hard drive.
If this is a computer that has been running fine for a while, it could still be loose connection on back of SATA hard drive (either cable) or it could be a loose connection on the motherboard side of the SATA data cable.
It could also be a bad CMOS setting. Reset CMOS by removing the battery for a while and moving the clear_cmos jumper to the clear position for a while.
