My laptop is broken? [2] help?
Okay.. Since people didn't understand my last question im asking again,
In the back of my laptop [the base] where the heater is theres a crack [large] i havn't dropped my laptop and it just appeared out of no-where
Questions:
1. is it possible the heat made the Laptop Plastic "soft" hence made it crack?
2. What other things could of caused it to get a crack in it?
3. WHERE could i repair it? most laptop repairs are for Internal [dealing with the literal harddrive and motherboard]
4. How much would it cost [to repair a tiny crack?]
Now next question
my DESKTOP has a problem with the Pixel shader [it doesn't support "League of Legends" Because it doesn't support Pixel Shader 2.0+
1. How can i Upgrade/Fix that?
2. How much would it cost
3. Is it possible to do it for free?
First off when you say "where the heater is" do you mean where the fan blows out excess heat? Computers don't use heaters.
Also you say "theres a crack [large]" and then you say "[to repair a tiny crack?]". Large and tiny don't go together. Do you mean that it's a long, thin crack?
The only thing I can think of is that you might have leaned on top of the laptop or set something heavy on it, thus creating a thin crack, purely guessing here. Also the amount of heat that would be required to break the plastic would melt some of the internal components of the laptop so that's not it.
As for where to repair it, have you considered fixing it yourself? Looking at my laptop it looks like all I'd have to do is unscrew whatever part was cracked then replace it and maybe insert a screwdriver to gently pry the part off.
If you don't want to mess around with fixing it yourself you should be able to go to any major retailer such as Best Buy and have them fix it. Don't know how much they'd charge though.
Concerning the second question, sounds like you need to upgrade your graphics card. Just check to make sure the card supports Pixel Shader 2.0 or greater (can't imagine any new card not doing so but you never know).
